About Pokhara:
Pokhara is situated at about 827 meter from sea level, and is located 124 miles (about 210 km) west of Kathmandu and can be reached by plane in 35 minutes or in 7 hours by bus. Pokhara is the next destination after Kathmandu for many adventure and pleasure trips in and around Pokhara. Pokhara is often called the enchanting Himalayan valley with a heart of major actions and adventures. Surrounded by beautiful snow-caped mountains, with a magnificent lake of crystal-clear pure Himalayan water, all-year round pleasing weather, and friendly Pokhralis will greet you with a smile and leave you with the most unforgettable moments in your life. So pack up your bag, load your camera, and get ready for Pokhara experience!it is starting point of Annapurna trekking.

 

PHEWA LAKE : The Phewa Lake which is the second-largest lake in Nepal is also the most important landmark of Pokhara. The Lakeside here covers almost half the eastern shores of the Phewa Lake. Most of the hotels, shopping malls and recreational centers are located here. A stroll along the shores of the lake is good enough to acquainted oneself with the place. Boating, fishing and swimming iare also sought after recreational activities in this beautiful lake.


VIEW POINT POKHARA (Dhampus&Sarankote) : Pokhara is an excellent place to savour the beauty of the majestic Himalayan peaks. Annapurna, the 10th highest peak in the world, is just 24 kms away from here. The northern skyline is also full of major peaks like Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhare and Lamjung. These view of these peaks with the comforts of the sub-tropical surroundings make Pokhara unique in itself.

 

TEMPLE OF TAL VARAHI : The Tal Varahi Temple is located in the middle of the Phewa Lake, on an island. It can be reached by taking any of the colourful boats available from Varahi Ghat Lake side Pokhara.

BINDYABASINI TEMPLE : The temple is the oldest structure in Pokhara built by Newari traders way back in the 16th century. You have to brace yourself for braving a long flight of steps to reach the temple. The main shrine of the temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga, though there is a new Shiva Temple and a small Buddhist monastery as well.

 

DEVI’S FALL : Local nam of water fall s Patale Chhango or Hell’s Fall, this fall has a string of other names including David or David’s Fall. Its source is the water from the Phewa Lake. Situated 2 kilometer away from Pokhara Lake side, the fall has some good places for pre-monsoon swimming, to its left and behind it.

 

WORLD PEACE PAGODA : The pagoda is located across the Phewa Lake, on top of the hill. One has to row to Hotel Fewa and then take the trail behind it to the top of the hill, in order to reach the monastry. It take one hour ofter cross the leak when we are thear we can see Mt Dhaulagri(8168mter) Annapurna I(8091 mt) Mt Fish tell, Annapurna south, Himchuli, many other mountain we can see All the mountain shadow In the Fawa lake.
