Everest is more than a mountain and the journey to its base camp is more than just a trek. Along a route dubbed by some as “the steps to heaven,”
The Everest Region in Nepal is more than just trekking, it is a milestone in anyone’s life; and some have even described the experience as a journey close to Nirvana. Located in the northeast province of Nepal, this is a colony to dramatic glaciers, deep settlements, and several majestic mountains. The Everest Region, also known as the Khumbu region, is one of the most visited regions for trekking in Nepal. It is situated on northeastern Nepal on the Nepalese side of Mount Everest. The region is a major Sherpa settlement of the Himalayas and has an amazing mountainous landscape. MT. Everest became the English name of the world’s highest peak, even though locals already had a name for it. The mountain was called Chomolungma by the Tibetans and Sagarmatha by the Nepalese. (Sir George Everest was the greatest surveyor in British history. In 1823, he took over as superintendent of the survey of India after his predecessor passed away, and then the earned position of surveyor general of India seven years later)

Following that time, Everest returned to India in 1818 where he spent the next 25 years helping the British map the entire subcontinent. When Everest came back to India, he reunited with Col. William Lambton, a good friend the man with whom he worked in 1806 on the survey of Bengal. Lambton died in 1823, which gave Everest a chance to bring his full training to bear. In 1830, Everest became surveyor general of India. That allowed him to get even more resources to continue the gigantic survey of India. Because of Everest’s highly accurate maps of India, He received a singular Honor. Mount Everest, the world’s highest peak, bears his name.

I have just completed a trek of the Everest base camp makes this 3 pass trek with two other friends. The trip was magnificent, stunning mountain peaks, ancient forest, impressive rivers and waterfalls and interesting villages. During the trip we were very well looked. we saw 3 8000 mt mountain in our trip ,Mt Everesr , Mt Lhotse , Mt Maklu, Gokyo Ri Wonderful experience ‎360° with lake be a once in a lifetime experience!
