Tamang Heritage Trek
Tamang heritage trek is a special culture heritage trail trekking route that highlights an ancient rich cultural heritage of the Tamang people in Langtang valley – a Tibetan origin ethnic group. Previously a restricted region near the Tibetan border, the unexplored northern Langtang valley has recently been developed into the Tamang Heritage Trail.
The Tamang Heritage trail delivers that and more. Immerse in rich Tibetan/Tamang cultural practices and traditions whilst meandering these scenic villages. Visit ancient monasteries, partake in a home-stay experience and bathe in natural hot springs. This easy trek also offers sensational views of Tibet and Langtang mountains and valleys.
The people in this area are mostly of Tamang whose culture and crafts have remained unchanged . All these craftsmanship, dress, traditionally built stone households and the beautifully carved wooden porches reflect the solitude and the serenity of the Himalayan profile at its best.
Trekking Itineray:
Day 01:Arrival Kathmandu / Dinner with cultural program.
Day 02:Cultural heritage tour / Trek Preparation.
Day 03:Drive to Syabrubesi to start the Tamang heritate trek / stay at Teahouse.
Day 04-05:Trek to Tatopani via Gatlang / enjoy the natural hot spring.
Day 06-07:Trek to Timure / visit the historical fort at Tibetan border.
Day 08:Trek to Briddim / explore the local culture and experience the home stay.
Day 09:Trek to Syabrubesi / Tamang heritage routes in Langtang region trek ending point.
Day 11:Trek ends / airport transfer.

Un trek au Nepal – A l’assaut du Tsergo Ri
Benoit, Alexandre et moi sommes partis avec Himlal Poudyal qu’Eric qui n’était pas très en forme a préféré se promener autour de Kyanjin Gompa dans la vallée glaciaire.
Après une nuit assez difficile pour ma part, c’était probablement dû à l’altitude, il a fallu se lever très tôt pour partir faire une excursion jusqu’au sommet du Tsergo Ri à 5000m. Aller-retour dans la journée soit 1200m de dénivellé en montée puis 1200m de dénivellé en descente sans compter que ça ne fait pas que monter ou que descendre !

We covered about 150 km in 19 days trek.Tamang heritage trekking trial is situated at Rasuwa district in the north of Kathmandu nearby Tibetan border of Nepal and Langtang Region. It is an interesting trek through Tamang villages and settlements. Their culture is virtually untouched. During the trekking you enjoy the dramatic views of Langtang Lirung (7245m.), Langtang Kerung, Chimse Danda ridge crossed by Ganjala Pass (5122m.), Dorje Lakpa (6989m.), Jugal Himal, Paldor peak, Ganesh Himal, , Manaslu, Shringi Himal, and Sanjen Himal ranges. The views of the Himalayan snow-capped mountains will be unforgettable. Tamang ritual, Tibetan traditional culture, festival and local Syabru dance makes this heritage trek very popular and unique.The tea houses were all comfortable and the food was very good. It was an exciting and fun trek and everything we had hoped for. This part of Nepal should not be missed.i suggest you
